Drama club and Choir performed their production to the parents last night. They were absolutely amazing and brought the house down.
I would like to say a massive thank you to all the parents, carers and children who bought a book at our Book Fair. The commission that was made enabled us to purchase books for the school library - 80 books this time! It is much appreciated!
What a great success today's World Book Day has been! Firstly, a big thank you for all the donations of books for our book sale. The children have all visited the 'shop' this morning. If your child forgot their money, they may have reserved a book which they can pay for in the next couple of days (50p per book). The books will continue to be on sale so please encourage your child to spend their pocket money on such a great purchase!
It was also lovely to see so many parent coming into school to share books with their children before school and at the end of the day. Reading is such an important skill to acquire and a fantastic thing to share with others.
The children looked amazing dressed as their book characters. A winner for the best costume was picked from each year group and an overall winner for the school (see photo). They each received a £5 book token to spend at next week's book fayre.
Once again, Miss Thompson has inspired and motivated her Street dance club to create a marvellous dance display. The children have patiently waited to gain a place at this popular extra curricular activity, then spent the last term enthusiastically watching, copying and developing moves. Miss Thompson, alongside the children and the volunteer helpers, have choreographed their final piece, incorporating all their individual talents (of which their were many!).
It was fabulous to see so many parents and carers supporting the children and showing their appreciation with a raptuous round of applause . Each dance display really does keep getting better and better. A huge well done to all those involved in the club.
