Welcome from Mrs Hull

On behalf of the staff, governors and children, I would like to welcome you to our school website, where we hope you will gain an insight into life at our fantastic school, as well as finding all of the information you need. This is a really exciting time for the school and we welcome you to join us in the next steps of this journey together.

I am extremely proud to be the Headteacher of a school where children are at the heart of all learning.  At Freeman’s we combine our ethos of inclusion with exciting and challenging learning, high expectations and achievement of high quality outcomes for our children.

We aim to inspire our children to develop as confident, thoughtful learners who work hard to achieve their best, have fun and are proud of their progress.   The staff team are committed to providing the best possible education for all of our children, while supporting them to develop as good citizens who contribute positively to society.  Our children are given opportunities to discover new talents, try new experiences and develop a love of learning.   Children are encouraged to think for themselves and take responsibility for their work and behaviour.  They are encouraged to work collaboratively and co-operatively with others; to organise, enjoy success, learn from their mistakes and to relish challenges and risks.

Our school has a firm Christian foundation, with strong links to the local church, St Barnabas, and to the local community.  Our school values are Faith, Aspirations, Resilience, Forgiveness, Respect and Honesty and these values are shared and understood by all members of the school community.  We teach and promote key British Values that prepare our children for life in modern Britain and enable them to show respect and understanding of others.

We look forward to welcoming you into our school to meet the staff and pupils and to find out about some of the fantastic subjects, topics and events that the children are learning about! If you require any further information or wish to see the school "in action" please do not hesitate to contact us.

Mrs Fiona Hull
Headteacher
